Yorkshire-born tenor Joseph Doody is a Young Artist at the National Opera Studio in London. He read music at Edinburgh University and holds a Masters in Performance at the Royal College of Music.
Operatic performances include the title roles in Albert Herring and The Rake's Progress, as well as Jupiter Semele, Basilio Le Nozze di Figaro (UK tour), Damon Acis and Galatea, Pylade in Gluck’s Iphigénie en Tauride, Ernesto Don Pasquale and Conte Almaviva Il Barbiere di Siviglia .
Recent concert performances include Bach’s St John Passion (arias) with the choir of Somerville College, Oxford, Britten’s Serenade for Tenor Horn and Strings with Skipton Camerata, Carmina Burana at the Usher Hall, Edinburgh, and Mozart’s Requiem at St Martin-in-the-Fields. Joseph has sung with groups including the Dunedin Consort, the Armonico Consort, and Britten Sinfonia Voices, at venues all over the UK and abroad.
Joseph continues to study with Tim Evans-Jones.
